    RED LAVA ROCK is a dark red lava rock. Lava rock is natural volcanic rock that helps plant growth and retains moisture. It can be used in atriums, planters, pots, shrub beds and also as natural filtration in ponds and in bottom beds of bar-b-ques and fire pits. You can use it in landscaping, as a border. Lava rock is lightweight and porous with angular edges, offering good drainage and usually ranging in size from ¾ inch to 1-1/4 inches. Lava rock is used in a gas barbecues. The flames heat the lava rock which then act like charcoal. Lave rock is often used in aquariums and terrariums. It looks good and provides texture to the area but has to advantage of being much lighter than normal rocks so it won't put stress on the glass.
